Design

Refine & deliver

Every company adapts the UX process in their own way.

But let’s be honest, it’s rarely linear. It’s often messy, sometimes chaotic, but always collaborative and fun. Whether I’m building something from scratch or redesigning an existing experience, I bring a user-centered mindset that helps untangle complexity, bring clarity, and drive meaningful results.

To start, it’s all about understanding the user, fact gathering, research, and asking a lot of questions. During this phase, I like to make a collaborative board that showcases:

  • The “why” and problem we want to solve

  • Who the user is and their pain points

  • The business vision and value

  • C&C analysis

  • Existing user research

  • Timelines and stakeholders

This is all about documentation and communication. This typically remains ongoing and open throughout the process. This is where I:

  • Stand up ongoing design reviews

  • Create a share notebook

  • Open communication with stakeholders and team members

  • Documentation of MVP and future vision

This is my favorite part. Here is where the pen hits the paper. Then scratched off, marked up, and reiterated upon until the design is just about right. This phase includes:

  • List of key features and functionality

  • Workshops

  • Journey map (as-is and to-be states)

  • Wireframes, mockups & prototypes (oh my!)

  • Accessibility reviews

  • User testing & feedback

  • Iterate, iterate, iterate

Thanks to deadlines and data, I get to a place where I refine the visuals and deliver a product that includes:

  • Prototypes

  • Stakeholder reviews and demos

  • Developer & accessibility documentation

  • Review analytics

  • Continue to improve
